How Desyn's AI works — an agent that reads and edits real layers, generative asset tools, brand-aware workflows, and your choice of models.

Desyn's AI is built into the document, not bolted on. It works through the same operations as the editor, which has three consequences you will notice right away:
- Everything it makes is editable. Generated designs are frames, text, shapes and images — never a flat picture of a design.
- It only changes what you ask for. Untouched layers stay exactly as they were, down to their ids, so comments, links and your own tweaks survive.
- Every request is one undo step, visible live to collaborators and recorded in version history with an "AI:" label.

Where to find it#
- The AI dock: a prompt bar at the bottom center of the editor (⌘CtrlJ) that expands into a chat with a run log.
- The AI panel in the left rail: one-click asset tools and workflows.
- Context actions: right-click a selection or use the floating toolbar for actions like Remove background, Rewrite or Translate.
- Templates: Remix with AI adapts a template to your brief.
- Outside the editor: the Agent API and MCP server give your own agents the same tools.
Availability#
AI features are part of Pro (with a monthly credit pool, see credits & fair use) and the self-hosted edition (with your own provider keys or local models). The Free plan does not include AI features.
